Women's 50s 60s Dress Novelty Print Pink Gray Small to Medium
This vintage 1950s/1960s day dress is absolutely charming! The bodice is short sleeved and fitted with darts. The banded collar turns into short fabric ties that knot at the neck. The skirt is knife pleated, lending a slightly more formal feel to the overall look.

|Bodice length from shoulder seam||16"||40.5|
FABRIC/COLORS: This novelty print - done on a cream background - looks spare at first glance, but the longer you look, the more you see. It depicts an urban park, with trees, a gazebo/bandstand, park benches, shrubbery and curlique metal chairs. A few of the chairs have human figures sitting in them. Most of the print resembles a charcoal drawing to me, in black and taupe-y gray. The splashes of pink suggest springtime blossoms. The fabric is a light to medium weight crepe. Based on a fiber burn test, I believe it is a rayon/acetate blend.

CLOSURES: The bodice closes with six small self fabric covered buttons, plus that cute tie at the neck. The waist fastens with a pair of snaps, and there is a 6" open placket below the waist. There are threaded belt loops but no belt.
CONDITION: No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted.
