- Description
Not every fashionista was edgy enough to wear extreme Mod styles - Mollie Parnis designed for First Ladies and other more mature women who wanted a more conservative version of the look! This vintage 1970s Parnis dress features a lean A-line silhouette with princess seaming. The skirt has a deep inset pleat in the front center for extra ease. FABRIC/COLOR: Medium weight fabric with the look of hopsacking, but not scratchy - based on fiber burn testing, I think it's probably a rayon/acetate blend. The lining feels a little silky, either rayon or rayon/cotton blend. The color is tobacco brown.
TAG: Mollie Parnis Boutique, New York. A label in the sideseam of the skirt for Saks Fifth Avenue, Fifth Avenue Shop, and an ILGWU tag of the type that was used beginning in 1974.
CLOSURES: Nylon zipper in back.
CONDITION: No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted. The scarf shown in one of the photos is not included with purchase.
