60s Women's Formal Dress Vintage Bombshell Sequin Long Black Diana Ross Supremes Small to Medium VFG
From Hairspray to Diana Ross & the Supremes, and even Mad Men, an iconic looking vintage 1960s evening dress! Scooped neckline with spaghetti straps, fitted to the body with long darts. The dress has a 13" slit along the left side seam for ease of walking.
SIZE: Labeled size 9, but vintage sizes run small, so please consider the measurements.

FABRIC/COLORS: The base fabric feels like acetate, and the dress is lined in the same fabric. The dress is completely covered with rows of zigzag patterned sequins separated by zigzagging narrow plastic-ish braid that looks a little sparkly as the light hits hit. All is black.
TAGS: No maker's tag.
CLOSURES: A long metal zipper in back.
CONDITION: A few loose thread ends around the neckline where 1 or 2 sequins may be missing. No other areas of sequin loss noted, and no stains, holes, tears or other problems seen.
I measure the outside of garments, unless stated otherwise.
For menswear, the chest is measured at armpit level.
For womenswear, the bust is measured a little below armpit level, including the room created by darts or gathers.
Waist will be measured if there is one, and hips are measured about 9" below waist level. Sleeves are measured from shoulder seam or an approximation in the absence of a shoulder seam. Garment length is measured from the back of the neck, unless otherwise stated.
The measurement numbers refer to the garment, not the body inside. For best fit, measure a similar type of garment which fits you well and compare.
If the garment is shown on Josephine, my mannequin, her measurements are 31/24.5/34". Sometimes she wears a padded bra. My live models measurements vary depending on the day and year, and I don't ask them to share that.
