60s Cocktail Dress Women's Vintage LBD Beaded Bodice Rhinestone Embellished Small/Medium VFG Litler
This vintage 1960s cocktail dress is so chic, and with plenty of bling! The overall silhouette is a fitted waisted sheath. The sleeveless bodice is gently fitted - it has a soft rolled collar. The straight skirt is softly pleated for ease at the front waist. The entire bodice is encrusted in a vining pattern of white glass beads, some of them dangling pendants, along with prongset rhinestones and glass sequins (I've never seen those before).

TAGS: Littler, Seattle, Pebble Beach. Littler's was considered by many to be the finest clothing shop in Seattle. The Pebble Beach California shop was added in 1953, probably because the founder was an avid golfer who became friends with Hollywood celebrity golfers like Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. Littler was family owned from 1932 until 1965 when Anson "Bob" Littler retired and sold to a NY based firm that was later acquired by Hart Schaffner & Marx.
CLOSURES: A long metal zipper down the back
CONDITION: No stains, holes or tears. I do find a few small areas where a little bit of the bling seems to be missing - see closeup. The rest of the beading looks stable and well attached.
This dress is heavy! The package will weigh nearly 3 pounds.
I measure the outside of garments, unless stated otherwise.
For menswear, the chest is measured at armpit level.
For womenswear, the bust is measured a little below armpit level, including the room created by darts or gathers.
Waist will be measured if there is one, and hips are measured about 9" below waist level. Sleeves are measured from shoulder seam or an approximation in the absence of a shoulder seam. Garment length is measured from the back of the neck, unless otherwise stated.
The measurement numbers refer to the garment, not the body inside. For best fit, measure a similar type of garment which fits you well and compare.
If the garment is shown on Josephine, my mannequin, her measurements are 31/24.5/34". Sometimes she wears a padded bra. My live models measurements vary depending on the day and year, and I don't ask them to share that.
