This vintage 1950s dress is fairly unique in my experience, being a lightweight jersey knit - so soft and comfy, yet quite stylish too! The bodice is fitted with diagonal darts, with a sailor inspired collar that folds over at the back of the neck and ties softly at the base of the vee neckline. The elbow length sleeves have their own self-fabric tie accents. The skirt is accordion pleated - given the type of fabric, it is a subtle but lovely effect.
SIZE: No size label. Measurements taken with the dress unstretched, so there is some wiggle room, except for the waist and shoulders, which are reinforced with seam taping.

FABRIC/COLORS: Navy blue soft jersey knit. Based on a fiber burn test, I believe it is a wool/synthetic blend.
TAGS: Rite-Fit Dresses
CLOSURES: 9" Side seam metal zipper at the waist. The bodice opens down the front to the waist with three self fabric buttons, with a snap at the top. There are thread belt loops, but no belt. I have shown the dress with several different belts from my closet for inspiration - they are not included with purchase.
CONDITION: On close inspection, I found a single pinhole adjacent to the end of the bust dart on the left side of the bodice - I suspect that one of the threads of the knit was disrupted there during the sewing/construction. There is some overall pilling. No other issues noted.
