A fabulous swingy late 1950s to early 1960s embellished top, perfection with snug cigarette pants, capris or leggings! The trapeze silhouette is narrower up top and then flares to the hips, with a 4" bottom ruffle as a flirty touch The blouse has a scoop neckline and is gently fitted at the bust with darts. There is a painted scrolled and embellished open box on the upper left, heaped with precious coins and jewelry. The tongue in cheek reference to your overflowing Treasure Chest will not be lost on your admirers, especially if you wear this as a maternity top, which may have been its original purpose!

FABRIC/COLORS: Finely woven polished cotton in cream with a subtle irregular stripe effect done in a dull gold. The treasure accent is screen printed in metallic gold and dark coral with a little black. It's further adorned with prongset clear gold and green rhinestones as well as tiny prongset pearl coated studs. Pasteboard tag recommends dry cleaning.
TAGS: Custom Tailored by Phil Jacobs, Kansas City. I did a bit of online research and it looks like this company specialized in maternity wear in the 1950s and 1960s.
CLOSURES: N/A, the top slips on over the head.
CONDITION: Condition is excellent - it doesn't look like it's ever been worn or washed.
