50s Rockabilly Blazer Two Tone Men's Vintage Hollywood Jacket 42 Large VFG
This 1950s vintage jacket is a fabulous find in a rare larger size! I love the two tone detailing, and the straight cut fit that is a little bit rockabilly and a little bit collegiate. Shoulders are un-padded, lapels are a bit oversized. There are three patch pockets, no inner pockets. The jacket is fully lined.
SIZE: Labeled size 42

FABRIC/COLORS: The primary color is a dark camel color - on my monitor, it is a match for Pantone's "Dried Tobacco". The accents are beige. The fabric is slubbed with a silky feel. A fiber burn test is consistent with silk - it could be a silk/wool blend. The lining is beige, in a sturdy acetate type fabric with a twill weave.
TAGS: Inner chest tag says "Tailored by Fordham". Inner back of neck: Varsity Shop, Baskin Chicago
CLOSURES: The jacket closes with three faux tortoise buttons down the front - look at those fabulous two toned bound buttonholes! Each sleeve has three smaller buttons on the cuff.
CONDITION: No stains, holes, tears, or other issues noted.
I measure the outside of garments, unless stated otherwise.
For menswear, the chest is measured at armpit level.
For womenswear, the bust is measured a little below armpit level, including the room created by darts or gathers.
Waist will be measured if there is one, and hips are measured about 9" below waist level. Sleeves are measured from shoulder seam or an approximation in the absence of a shoulder seam. Garment length is measured from the back of the neck, unless otherwise stated.
The measurement numbers refer to the garment, not the body inside. For best fit, measure a similar type of garment which fits you well and compare.
If the garment is shown on Josephine, my mannequin, her measurements are 31/24.5/34". Sometimes she wears a padded bra. My live models measurements vary depending on the day and year, and I don't ask them to share that.
