40s Women's Platforms Heels by Ansonia Vintage Peeptoe Ankle Strap Gold Embellished 6.5 VFG
These 1940s platform heels are worthy of a Hollywood starlet! They are designed with all the elements you expect in a great 40s platform shoe - an open peeptoe, slingback ankle strap (with elastic at the back of the heel for comfort), sturdy yet graceful heel and serious platforms. The spectacular embellishment on the toebox, platform and back of heels lifts them to an iconic level.
SIZE: Labeled 6.5N. My model usually wears a 7M, and as you can see, was able to wear them. However, she did not find them comfortable for her foot size.

MATERIALS/COLORS: Black suede, lined in gray leather. The embellishments are done by outlining shapes with narrow black and metallic soutache cord. The centers of the shapes are painted with antique gold.

CLOSURES: Dark buckles with five notches for the ankle strap.
CONDITION: These have been lightly worn and well cared for, and the basic elements are in excellent condition. There has been some loss of gold paint over the decades, and wear to the soutache cord has caused the metallic thread to become a bit more noticeable on close inspection in some areas. Minor quibbles for such glorious shoes.
I measure the outside of garments, unless stated otherwise.
For menswear, the chest is measured at armpit level.
For womenswear, the bust is measured a little below armpit level, including the room created by darts or gathers.
Waist will be measured if there is one, and hips are measured about 9" below waist level. Sleeves are measured from shoulder seam or an approximation in the absence of a shoulder seam. Garment length is measured from the back of the neck, unless otherwise stated.
The measurement numbers refer to the garment, not the body inside. For best fit, measure a similar type of garment which fits you well and compare.
If the garment is shown on Josephine, my mannequin, her measurements are 31/24.5/34". Sometimes she wears a padded bra. My live models measurements vary depending on the day and year, and I don't ask them to share that.
