30s Vintage Arctic White Fox Fur Stole Double Pelt Bridal Fur VFG

$ 100.00 Sale Save

This white fox fur stole dates to the 1920s or 1930s and will add a touch of Old Hollywood to your outfit, whether as evening wear, over a smart vintage suit, or a glamorous accent on your wedding day. This is a full pelt stole, although the furrier removed the clawed ends from all of the paws. It uses two foxes, positioned with overlapping heads. How you wear it and style it is up to you.

FUR/OTHER MATERIALS: Luxurious and incredibly soft white fox fur.

SIZE:
Each pelt measures 42-43" from tip of nose to tip of tail, and up to 5" wide.
The entire stole measures 84" long.

TAG: No tags

CLOSURES: The stole can be secured using the celluloid links that are sewn to the side of each pelt, snapping together in the middle between two crochet covered wooden balls. There are two more balls that snap, fastening the front foot of one fox to the rear foot of another. There is also a crochet covered alligator clip under the jaw of one of the fox heads so it can be secured to a suit jacket lapel.

CONDITION: There is wear to the guard hairs under the celluloid chain attachment on one of the pelts - see clsoeup. Other pelt seems fine. The ears of the underlying fox head seem a little smaller and stiffer than the overlying fox head - see closeup. I have replaced a snap on one of the balls attached to a leg. No other issues noted. Underlying pelts feel supple, hairs seem firmly atatched.

I measure the outside of garments, unless stated otherwise.

For menswear, the chest is measured at armpit level.

For womenswear, the bust is measured a little below armpit level, including the room created by darts or gathers.

Waist will be measured if there is one, and hips are measured about 9" below waist level. Sleeves are measured from shoulder seam or an approximation in the absence of a shoulder seam. Garment length is measured from the back of the neck, unless otherwise stated.

The measurement numbers refer to the garment, not the body inside. For best fit, measure a similar type of garment which fits you well and compare.

If the garment is shown on Josephine, my mannequin, her measurements are 31/24.5/34". Sometimes she wears a padded bra. My live models measurements vary depending on the day and year, and I don't ask them to share that.
