60s Caftan Vintage Batik Tiki Tapa Print Cotton Women's Orange Green Gold VFG

This caftan is one of those garments that comes alive on the body, even though it is the ultimate in practicality. It dates to the 1960s, and is essentially one large piece of fabric, with a neck hole cut out and sewn, and then sewn up the side seams except for armholes. It can be worn loose, or with a belt to change up the look. The belts shown here are from my closet and are not included with purchase.

FABRIC/COLORS: The print is so vibrant! It uses a mixture of faux batik, tapa and tiki style in the print, along with some bare-footing. Colors are rich and saturated, and feel very 60s earth toned - harvest gold, several shades of green, turquoise and coral red. The fabric is medium weight and smooth - I did a fiber burn test, and believe this is cotton.
TAGS: No tags - this was custom sewn at a basic skill level.
CLOSURES: N/A, the caftan slips on over the head.
CONDITION: a small tear to the fabric at the top of one of the sideseam slits - see closeup.
