50s Shirtwaist Day Dress Brown Gingham Plaid Medium VFG Lordleigh

An elegant 1950s vintage day dress, with great details! The bodice is shirtwaist style, with rounded lapels accented by corded trim. Sleeves are 3/4 length. The straight skirt has a small kick pleat with slit, front and center. Oh, and pockets, designed to stand away from the body, and also set off by the corded trim. I have styled the dress in some photos with a black leather belt from my closet - it is not included with purchase.

FABRIC/COLORS: Woven gingham in two shades of brown - they remind me of milk chocolate and dark chocolate. The corded trim is closer to the dark chocolate. Fiber burn test suggests a blend of natural and synthetic - I'm thinking cotton and acetate.

CLOSURES: The dress closes in front - three self-fabric covered buttons for the bodice, a hook & eye at the waist, and a 9" nylon zipper below the waist.
