Fashions of the Model A era: The Betty Collection

Fashions of the Model A era: The Betty Collection

Posted by Marjory Muellner on

I am excited - and a little overwhelmed - to share the acquisition of 100s of vintage fashion items dating from 1928 to 1931.

Betty and her husband enjoyed collecting, restoring, and showing his Model A Ford vehicles. That came to include competing in "Era Fashion" shows, and they did very well. When they retired from the shows, they kept most of his cars and all of her collection. Time went by and after more than 10 years, Betty was ready to let go, as long as it all went together. Dozens of day dresses, 30+ evening dresses. Eighty hats. More than 30 pairs of shoes. Furs, purses, men's suits, undergarments, coats, jewelry, and more.

I am still unpacking, sorting, taking a few photographs.

I'll be at this for quite awhile. Stay tuned.
