50s Women's Suzy Perette Dress Vintage Cocktail Party Red Full Skirt Medium

A gorgeous full skirt party dress by Suzy Perette, a company known for their well done interpretations of each season's haute couture, including this one - clearly inspired by Dior's New Look! The upper bodice is styled like a fitted shirtwaist, with notched lapels, deep neckline and cuffed 3/4 length dolman sleeves that have underarm gussets. The lower bodice hugs the body with the feel of a corset, done with princess seaming that flares below the waist into a very full 10 gore skirt. The seaming between the upper and lower bodice is accented by jaunty self fabric tabs that remind me of a gentleman's kerchief peeking out of a breast pocket. The dress is shown in most of the photos with a crinoline underneath the skirt - it is not included with purchase.
