70s Vintage Mens Denim Suit New Old Stock Jacket Vest Pants 3 piece Deadstock
- Description
This is an amazing men's suit, vintage 1970s, three piece denim, and looks new, although without tags. The jacket has wide lapels, with a self-fabric tab on the left side. The silhouette is fitted, long and lean, with a deep vent in back. There are two patch handwarmer pockets, both accented with buttons, and the entire jacket set off by the contrast stitching for a little country flair. The vest is also fitted, with it;s own (smaller) patch pockets, also with button accents and contrast stitching. The pants are designed to fit snugly to mid-thigh, then gently flare into a boot cut. Western patch pockets extend up and onto waistband to form wide belt loops in front, set off by small button tabs set into the sideseam. Typical patch pockets in back, and again accented with contrast stitching.

FABRIC/COLORS: The fabric is a slightly brushed denim - tag describes the color as "Midnite". It's not as dark as a modern dark wash, and color is uniform. Content label says it's 65% cotton, 35% polyester. The contrast stitching is that orangey shade of brown that was used on Levi jeans for many years, an excellent match for the buttons.

CLOSURES: The vest closes with five plastic faux wrapped leather buttons down the front, in a warm shade of cognac brown. The jacket closes with two larger versions of the same buttons. Pants have an embossed metal snap at the waist, and a 7" metal talon zipper.
CONDITION: I do not believe the suit has ever been worn, and I do not see any issues related to storage either.
