Vintage 80s Tadashi Cocktail Dress Women's Dramatic Body Con Small Designer VFG

Va va voom! An amazing party dress from Tadashi Shoji, originally sold at Saks. The vee-neck bodice is fitted, with tricky and dramatic pleating that enhances your bust and draws the eye away from the tummy. Bodice is boned, front and back. The exuberant ruffled "cap" sleeves have thin wiring along the edges - the ruffling is attached to an elasticized "strap" - it looks like they can be worn on or off shoulder. The straight skirt has a 4.5" center slit in back for ease in walking.

SIZE: Labeled size 4. My spokesmodel, who usually wears a modern 4/6, could not get the dress zipped, to her sorrow.

FABRIC/COLORS: The fabric is gorgeous - a crisp dark teal/turquoise taffeta with the iridescent gleam of sharkskin. Fabric content label says 100% acetate.

CLOSURES: A long nylon zipper down the back

CONDITION: There are a few visible stitches on the left front hip where the sunburst pleating starts - see closeup. I am guessing that the dress may have originally had some sort of Bling attached there. Since it is also possible that they anchor some of the pleating, I decided to leave them in place for the new owner to decide. No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted.
