Men's 90s Military Jacket Vintage USN Officers Navy Mess Captain 43 Reg VFG

$ 79.00 Sale Save

This US Navy Officer's Mess jacket dates to 1994. The mess jacket is the military equivalent of black tie. It is single breasted, with notched lapels. The body is fitted and cut like an evening dress coat, but without the tails. Per my research, the four rows of gold braid on each sleeve plus the star denotes a captain's rank. The jacket is fully lined with an inner pocket on each side.

SIZE: Labeled 43 Reg

 Measurements Inches Centimeters
Chest 44" 111.75
Shoulders 19" 48
Length from back of neck 22" 56

FABRIC/COLORS: Black suiting type fabric, densely woven. No fabric content information, but cautioned Dry Clean Only in several places.

CLOSURES: The metallic gold colored embossed buttons are decorative - the jacket has a pair of small inner buttons with a gold braid that loops between.

CONDITION: There are a few pinprick type marks on the left lapel, presumably from the wearer's ribbons or other insignia pinned there - see closeup. No other issues noted.
