60s Women's Dress Vintage Bombshell Wiggle Silk Floral Print Back Interest Medium VFG
Dramatically different! Form fitting with inset waist subtly set off with self fabric cording. Bateau neckline in front, softened with tucked draping at the shoulders. The neckline in back drops into a deep vee, accented by self-fabric panels that drop and drape from the shoulders, ending just above the center waist. The skirt has a center back slit for ease of walking. No tags at all, this was most likely custom sewn at a very good skill level.

FABRIC/COLORS: Lightweight fabric with a matte satin finish, I believe it is silk based on a fiber burn test. Dramatic large scale brushstroke floral print in rich shades of golden yellow and moss and olive green with a bit of chestnut brown. The dress is lined in pale olive acetate-type fabric.
TAGS: No tags at all, this was most likely custom sewn at a very good skill level.
CLOSURES: Metal zipper in back, hook and threaded eye at the waist.
CONDITION: I see two very small frayed holes in the lower front skirt (see close-up) with slight pulling to the fabric on either side of the lower pinhole. Given the nature of the print, it is quite subtle. Also, the lining has reddish color turn under the arms, not seen when worn. I have reinforced the stitching at the top of the back skirt slit with hand stitching.
I measure the outside of garments, unless stated otherwise.
For menswear, the chest is measured at armpit level.
For womenswear, the bust is measured a little below armpit level, including the room created by darts or gathers.
Waist will be measured if there is one, and hips are measured about 9" below waist level. Sleeves are measured from shoulder seam or an approximation in the absence of a shoulder seam. Garment length is measured from the back of the neck, unless otherwise stated.
The measurement numbers refer to the garment, not the body inside. For best fit, measure a similar type of garment which fits you well and compare.
If the garment is shown on Josephine, my mannequin, her measurements are 31/24.5/34". Sometimes she wears a padded bra. My live models measurements vary depending on the day and year, and I don't ask them to share that.
